Room Categories and Descriptions - The Waldorf-Astoria

Room amenities include mini-bar, high speed Internet access (extra fee), telephone with voicemail, cable TV, complimentary newspaper, work desk, marble bath or shower, hairdryer, alarm clock with radio, 24-hour housekeeping, and iron/ironing board.

Deluxe - Rooms are spacious and feature upscale amenities and richly appointed furnishings. 200-225 square feet in size with 1 King or 1 Queen bed. Maximum occupancy: 2 guests.

Mini Suite - 370 square feet in size and features a kitchenette. Oversized, luxurious accommodation with a sitting enclave or separate parlor (some with French doors), and one King bed (some with 2 bathrooms). Maximum occupancy: 2 guests.

Superior - 250 square feet in size with one King bed. Maximum occupancy: 4 guests.

The Waldorf-Astoria offers the following restaurants:

Bull and Bear - With one of the most historic and well-recognized bars in New York City, this celebrated steakhouse offers a selection of fresh seafood and is the only restaurant on the East Coast serving the prime grade of USDA Certified Angus Beef, the highest quality grade of beef available in the U.S.. At the polished mahogany bar enjoy specialty beers and generous cocktails. Located on the corner of 49th Street and Lexington. Dress Attire: Elegant Casual (No jeans, shorts, or sneakers please). Dinner served daily from 5-11:30pm.

Peacock Alley - Modern and elegant, the stunning new Peacock Alley restaurant embraces the future and yet pays homage to the history of the Waldorf. Located in the heart of the bustling main lobby Peacock Alley's setting is opportune and ideal for getting a taste of a culinary experience or to host a special event in the private dining room. Featuring an upscale 103-seat restaurant, a 30-foot long bar, and a private salon, guests of Peacock Alley can choose from a distinctive lunch of small plates and traditional selections, to a prix fixe, an extraordinary a la carte dinner menu, and a sumptuous Sunday brunch. Business, chic and elegant attire. (No jeans, shorts, or sneakers). Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7am.

Inagiku Restaurant - Stylish and exotic, Inagiku presents New-Style Japanese cuisine in a theatrical setting. The first fine dining Japanese restaurant in midtown Manhattan, this nearly 30-year-old institution attracts a devoted clientele of international Epicureans seeking contemporary twists on time-honored preparations. Ask about the exquisite tatami rooms for very private dining. Located at 111 E. 49th Street. Lunch served Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Dinner served seven days, 5:30pm - 10:00pm. Dress Attire: Smart Casual.



Bars - The Waldorf-Astoria

The Waldorf-Astoria offers the following bars:

Peacock Alley Bar - The elaborate 30 foot long bar with tan leather bar chairs reveals cast-glass female silhouettes, commissioned by Brooklyn’s Flickinger Glassworks. A relaxing lounge area behind the bar reveals cozy seating, with a peacock mural reclaimed from the former restaurant. Join us for “The Debriefing Hour”, Monday through Friday, from 5-7pm and for live entertainment music Wednesday Friday and Saturday evenings.

Bull and Bear's - This legendary mahogany bar has been cited by The New York Times as one of the world's three greatest. Open from 4:00 p.m. to late night.Monday through Friday, from 5-6pm, patrons gather for cocktails and the filming of “Happy Hour,” Fox Business Network’s live news show. Dress Attire: Smart Casual.

Sir Harry's - Located just off the main lobby, offers traditional club ambiance with an elegant bar and seating around checkerboard tables. Dress Attire: Smart Casual. Open Monday - Sunday from 1pm to 2:30am.
