On the beach, where white sand eases gently into the Caribbean, there are chaise lounges and mattresses for sunbathers. Hammocks hang under thatched roofs for reading and napping in the shade. Room amenities include ocean views, open air garden shower, refrigerator, hair dryer, wall safe, ceiling fan, private patio and a king bed (twins on request). Cribs are available on request for an extra charge. Deluxe - One king bed, two twin beds (upon request). Large rooms with a sitting area in the bedroom, usually has a large private terrace. Oceanview. Luxury - Two queen beds or one king bed, sitting room, large terrace. Individual cottages with oceanview, and located at the beach. Pool Suite - Two queen beds or one king bed, sitting room, large terrace, open air garden shower, and plunge pools. Individual cottages with oceanview and located at the beach. Superior - Individual cottages on the hillside. Smaller bedrooms near the beach or pool. A few can interconnect for families or two couples. Oceanview and walled patio. Young Island has created a special wedding program that takes care of all the arrangements. The cost is $1,050 per couple and includes the following: The "I Do" Option Includes: -A wedding coordinator who will personally take you to and from the registrar for the registration and wedding license -Marriage certificate -Registrar's fee -Bride's bouquet -Groom's boutonniere -Wedding arch for the ceremony decorations -Minister's fee -Champagne -Hors d'ouevres for the bride and groom and two witnesses -A wedding cake -Photographer and two dozen 4” x 6” prints in an album with the negatives In your own cottage, we'll serve you a candlelight dinner that evening, and a champagne breakfast the next morning. Nothing could be more romantic, more beautiful or more memorable than your wedding and honeymoon on Young Island. What You'll Need: -Your passport and Birth Certificate; legal proof if name has changed. -If married before, your divorce decree absolute. -If spouse deceased, the death certificate and first original marriage certificate. -Notarized parental consent if under 21 years of age. The Waiting Game: You must be a resident of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for a minimum of 24 hours, excluding the day of arrival, before you can apply for your wedding license at the registrar's. This office is closed weekends and public holidays. You must apply in person and the procedure takes approximately two hours. The Game's Up: You may marry immediately after you receive your wedding license. Catholic and Church of England weddings must take place in the church.
