Puntarenas is located in the central Pacific region of Costa Rica. The most popular attraction here is Manuel Antonio National Park, with its beautiful beaches and greenery. After spending the day admiring nature, many tourists visit Jaco Beach to enjoy its party atmosphere. There are several beaches along the coast of the province that are great for surfing. Osa Peninsula, the second largest peninsula in Costa Rica, is located in the southern part of Puntarenas–-it is full of wildlife and offers a variety of water activities. It is also home to Corcovado National Park, one of the largest rain forests along the Pacific coast of Central America. Visitors looking for a bit of serenity can visit Tambor, a horseshoe bay surrounded by rolling, green hills.
