This picturesque village is located at the far southern end of Martinique, and is famous for its quiet coves and capes boasting beautiful beaches, including the majestic and popular Les Salines. Les Salines is a long, white sand beach with calm seas, and from the shore, you can spot the nearby island of St Lucia on the horizon. For a more relaxing setting, visit the tranquil beach of Pointe des Salines, which is relatively untouched and trimmed by lush vegetation since it is less frequented than Les Salines. Beyond Pointe des Salines lies the Stony Savanna, an arid expanse of fields scattered with jasper plants and petrified wood.
