Our spa resorts offer services including saunas, steam rooms, massages, aromatherapy, facials and a variety of body treatments. Most spas have signature treatments, and you’ll also often find treatments geared to men, expectant mothers and couples. Some spa resorts offer services that can be administered in your room or in a private cabana overlooking the sea. Most services offered at spas are available at an additional cost. Spas often include workout facilities and a beauty salon.

Spa treatments can incorporate local ingredients or customs. For example, most Hawaiian spa resorts offer the traditional lomi lomi massage, a technique derived from ancient Polynesian healing practices.

Some tips for visiting a spa: Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You will need to fill out some paperwork, and a staff member may give you a brief tour of the changing rooms, relaxation areas and other facilities. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and leave jewelry and watches in your room, along with cell phones and pagers. During massages, feel free to tell the therapist if the pressure is too light or too hard. In the hours following your treatment, drink plenty of water and limit alcohol consumption.
