Carry-on Bags

 

Passengers are allowed one piece of hand baggage that must not exceed 8 kg in weight and 55x40x20 cm in size. Additionally, the following items are allowed on board if necessary:

 

·         1 coat or blanket

·         1 umbrella or walking stick

·         1 ladies’ handbag

·         1 small camera or 1 set of binoculars

·         reading for the journey

 

If you’re traveling with an infant, you may also bring one baby carrier, collapsible pram (in the freight compartment) or car seat and baby food for use on board.

 

Checked Baggage

 

For all flights except those beginning in Brazil, a maximum weight limit of 23kg / 50lbs applies. On flights beginning in Brazil, the weight limit is 32kg / 70lbs. For heavier luggage, fees will apply.

If your ticket was issued before January 3, 2012:

A USD / CAD 70 fee applies to the second checked bag on flights between South Africa and the USA, Canada or Mexico.
