Since September 2011, Halekulani has undergone a comprehensive renewal of its guest room and support facilities in order to ensure and preserve not only its architectural integrity, but also its service legacy.
The over-all project, completed in July 2012, was initiated commencing with a public area renewal in 2009 and continued with total guestroom renovations and back of house areas improvements throughout 2011-2012.

Royal Suite - The newly renovated 4,066 sq. ft Royal Suite offers: a semi-private elevator which opens up to the Royal Suite, a view of Diamond Head and the sweep of Waikiki Beach, two bedrooms, dining room, dressing area, 2.5 bathrooms, kitchen facilities, large wraparound lanai and state-of-art entertainment enhancements including a 50" Plasma Screen and wireless portable television, For your added convenience, a personal butler and airport limousine services are included for the Royal Suite.
Halekulani Suite - Personally designed by Vera Wang and island-inspired, the Halekulani Suite offers: panoramic views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, Two Sony flat screen televisions, DVD wireless audio Dream System with 5-disc DVD/SAC/CD changer, digital sound and a six-speaker-surround-sound system, 12.1” wireless TV featuring on screen keyboard for email and web browsing, Master control system, which allows guests to control room temperature, lighting and services including chambermaid, porter and in-room dining, TOTO Clayton airbath, featuring a deep bathing well accentuated with a chrome plated solid brass grab bar and 16 individual air jets. Orchid Suite - This 2,365 sq. ft retreat is enveloped by panoramic views of Diamond Head and the shoreline of Waikiki Beach. The Orchid Suite is situated oceanfront with floor-to-ceiling doors opening to private lawns and an open-air trellised lounge; the entertainment lounge showcases the world’s first Steinway & Sons Model M in-room hotel home theater by Steinway Lyngdorf and the en-suite master bath features a steam shower, deep steeping therapy pool and a cold plunge tub with calming garden views. The Orchid Suite features a comprehensive culinary program featuring interactive cooking lessons with Halekulani Chefs, daily market deliveries, an en-suite vintage wine cellar, and an array of moveable feasts; from al fresco dining under Waikiki’s moonglow to cocktail parties and formal estate dinners.

La Mer - Dining at the elegant oceanfront La Mer is a rich sensory experience of superb taste and impeccable service enhanced by the ever-present sounds of "La Mer," or "The Sea" of Waikiki. This elegant restaurant is located on the 2nd level of the historic Main Building. Fresh island ingredients are used in dishes inspired by flavors from the south of France. La Mer's private dining room overlooking the Pacific ocean offers an elegant and private dining experience for up to 16 guests. Menus are pre-selected, with a choice of entrées offered to satisfy individual preference.
Orchids - Orchids, an oceanside restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a panoramic view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. Decorated with a profusion of colorful orchids, creative seafood specialties are presented in a setting which is informally elegant.
House Without a Key - House Without A Key, immortalized in a 1925 Earl Derr Bigger's Charlie Chan novel, is the hotel's popular gathering spot for informal breakfast, lunch, cocktails and entertainment. One of the favored traditions of the original Halekulani--sunset cocktails and Hawaiian music under the century-old Kiawe tree--has been preserved here.
