Destinations Open to Visitors

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the tropical destinations that we serve temporarily stopped accepting visitors. In some cases, authorities are still working through recovery plans and have not yet set a reopening date. However, the destinations shown below are open now or have announced expected reopening dates.

Antigua: open now; proof of a negative COVID test taken in the prior seven days is required

Aruba: open now; travelers from many states must, prior to travel, submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the previous 72 hours (all other travelers must take a test upon arrival); all travelers must also purchase an Aruba Visitors Insurance policy at a cost of roughly $15 per person, per day

Bermuda: open now; travelers are required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior five days and also take COVID-19 tests upon arrival and on days three, seven and 14 of the stay

Costa Rica: open now for residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, DC; travelers are required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours and also show proof that they have purchased travel insurance

Dominican Republic: open now; 3% to 10% of all travelers will be randomly selected for a COVID-19 test administered upon arrival

Grand Cayman: opening October 1

Hawaii: opening October 15; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours is required

Jamaica: open now; travelers are required to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the 10 days before travel. Also, guests must remain on resort property for the duration of their stay.

Mexico: open now

Puerto Rico: open now; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours is required

St. Lucia: open now; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior seven days is required

St. Maarten: open now; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours will be required

St. Martin: open now; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours will be required

Turks & Caicos: open now; proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the prior 72 hours and travel insurance are required

Not all hotels in the above locations are operating yet, but when you use our Find a Deal quote tool, only hotels that will be open and currently have availability will appear in search results.

Any international destination not listed here is still working to confirm a reopening date or has implemented mandatory quarantines for visitors.
