The Belmond Cadogan Hotel is an elegant Edwardian townhouse hotel with a prestigious address on Sloane Street between Knightsbridge and Sloane Square. Built in 1887, it blends contemporary style with classic Edwardian decadence, and is full of history. Irish playwright Oscar Wilde was arrested in room 118 and the Edward VII Suite is so named in remembrance of when the future king met with the actress Lillie Langtry there. Locals and visitors alike enjoy The Cadogan Hotel’s afternoon tea; Langtry’s Restaurant serves British dishes with inventive flavor combinations. The neighborhood is home to Gucci, Tiffany, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and other fashionable shops.
