Top Bahamas Resorts

Below are three of our best-selling resorts in the Bahamas.

The first two are all-inclusive, which means the upfront price covers accommodations, meals, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, entertainment, activities and nonmotorized water sports. Atlantis properties are not all-inclusive, but their many unique offerings and broad array of accommodations, restaurants and activities make Atlantis one of our most popular Bahamian destinations. Read on for more information about each property, and click the links to price a stay, with or without airfare.

Riu Palace Paradise Island (4 stars) -- This resort provides a no-kids escape on a white-sand beach on Paradise Island, just offshore of Nassau. Guests will find two pools (one with a swim-up bar), a spa, ocean activities like windsurfing and snorkeling and minibars and beverage dispensers in rooms. Dining options include a Japanese restaurant, a steakhouse and buffets. Sign up for a pampering spa treatment, relax on a lounger by the pool, join a beach volleyball match or enjoy evening shows.

Breezes Bahamas (4 stars), Nassau -- Guests ages 14 or older are welcome at this resort, which boasts a fun-filled, casual atmosphere. With a prime location on the powdery, white sands of Cable Beach, the property offers an extensive selection of lively activities and modern amenities. Relax in a beachside hammock or by freshwater pools, or participate in activities such as tennis, pickleball and kayaking. You'll find four bars and five dining options, like Martino's for Italian specialties and Munasan for Asian fare.

Atlantis Paradise Island (5 stars) -- Atlantis encompasses five distinct sections, all of them featuring luxurious amenities. No matter which enclave you choose to stay in, you can enjoy the broad offerings of this sprawling vacation complex. It has over 30 restaurants, eight bars, 14 pools, five miles of beaches and an oceanfront golf course. The 141-acre Aquaventure water park features high-speed waterslides and a mile-long river ride with rapids and wave surges; a marine habitat has more than 50,000 aquatic animals representing 250-plus species. Join a twilight snorkeling trip or stingray encounter, see a movie in the resort's theater or create your own work of art in the pottery studio.

Some 700 Bahamas islands and islets sprawl across 100,000 square miles, but there are only a few main tourist areas. Nassau and Paradise Island are the most popular destinations. The historic city of Nassau is home to ancient forts, a bustling port and elegant hotels. Pastel government buildings surround a regal statue of Queen Victoria -- a reminder of British influence in the Bahamas. Shoppers will want to hit the famous straw market, and Bay Street -- lined with duty-free shops. Pristine beaches stretch for miles, inviting visitors to snorkel, sail or just lay in the sand, soaking up the warm rays of the sun.

Just north of Nassau is 685-acre Paradise Island, a true island paradise surrounded by white sands and turquoise waters. Water temperatures here average about 80 degrees year-round, so water skiing, snorkeling, parasailing, kite boarding and diving are popular activities. An 18-hole championship golf course, an aquarium, shops and local and international restaurants round out the island's amenities.
